We joined the Alexanders to celebrate Papa Joe's 55th birthday. Each year on your birthday, you get to pick what you want for a birthday cake. Papa Joe's pick was German chocolate, but since everyone doesn't like it, he settled for a yellow cake with mom's homemade frosting.
The old man managed to blow out all those candles!

Great pics! But your poor dad - doesn't get the cake he wanted, doesn't get to start first during board games for a another whole year, and "still no wiser".... I'm not sure I like this whole getting older gig!! :)
