When Eric's second lens fell out of his glasses while grocery shopping last weekend, it became obvious that it was time to get some new specs. One week later, with a new script in hand, Eric chose an updated pair through which to see the world...

Older, But Still No Wiser!
We joined the Alexanders to celebrate Papa Joe's 55th birthday. Each year on your birthday, you get to pick what you want for a birthday cake. Papa Joe's pick was German chocolate, but since everyone doesn't like it, he settled for a yellow cake with mom's homemade frosting.
This super cool golf umbrella (thanks to B & M) kept the snow off this birthday boy's head!"They Get Sweeter With Time!"
This little guy turned 1 !!

When looking at the map on the way to Sunday River we discovered that Leeds wasn't too far out of the way, which was all we needed to decide to make a little side trip to see the Sparlings on the way home. Noah had just celebrated his first birthday and was cruising around like he'd been doing it for years! Tyler just gets more adorable each time we see her, if that's even possible!

Christmas in February
Stacy cashed in on her Christmas promise of a ski weekend at Sunday River during Valentine's weekend. With seven peaks and over 100 trails, Sunday River was more overwhelming than our first ski experience last winter at Hermon Mountain!
We stayed at the Jordan Grand Hotel, which boasted a heated outdoor swimming pool with views of the Jordan Bowl. We managed to enjoy it despite the 30 mph wind gusts!
We took advantage of the adjoining hot tub, and in matter of minutes, we had icicles in our hair and on our eyelashes!
The first night we decided to try out the tubing park. We were the only patrons at the time, so we were able to fit in over a dozen runs in less than an hour.
Unfortunately we also served as test dummies for the trail that night. While Eric managed to survive his first run, Stacy took a massive wipe-out that tossed her around like a rag doll! Luckily she walked away with only one small cut and several large bruises...
Eric had chosen the Jordan Grand so that we could walk out the hotel doors and hit the slopes, but the winds on Saturday forced that lift and 13 others to be put on hold. That left two lifts and only a handful of trails open for all of the skiers on the mountain. Despite the long wait times and icy trail conditions, we still enjoyed ourselves. For the last run of the day, they opened up an additional lift. This one, unlike the one we had been using all day, brought you to the peak of the mountain. An employee was kind enough to take our picture at the top, before we embarked on a truly testing run down the mountain!
