Forever In Blue Jeans

This past summer, Huggies made some limited edition diapers that looked like blue jeans. Every time we saw them in the store, we would make fun of them. Then last month, Stacy was grocery shopping and saw some in the clearance bin for $8. Always a sucker for a deal, she picked up a package. When the cashier rang them up, Stacy realized they were 50% off of $8 - so only $4 for a package of diapers that normally costs $10. Needless to say, Stacy went back and bought the rest of the packages in Lucy's size. Once we had them on her, we had to admit, they were pretty darn cute...or maybe it's just the person wearing them!

Lucy's Sixth Month

Life has been a tad crazy the last month as Stacy has been finishing up the semester so we're quite a bit behind on our posts. Here's a selection of photos from Lucy's sixth month:

Let It Snow?

We had our first snowfall of the season in late October. Fortunately, it was a Sunday and we didn't have anywhere to go because we fired our plow guy at the end of last season and haven't looked for anyone new to do it. Once the snow had stopped and it'd warmed up a bit, we bundled Lucy up in her snowsuit and brought her out onto the deck.

She wasn't sure what to think at first...

...but quickly decided it wasn't too bad!

We see snow forts and sledding in our future!

5 Months

Can you believe that I'm already 5 months old?

I've started sleeping better for Mom and Dad. They figured out that if we read a book before my last feeding instead of after it, I go to sleep quicker. My longest stretch of sleep at this point is 10 3/4 hrs...boy are my parents lucky!

I've definitely started teething, which has caused some fussy days, but on a whole I am still a super happy baby. Sometimes Daddy makes me laugh so hard that I squeal!

I love my Mom and Dad so much that I ALWAYS want to be around them. If they walk into the other room without me, I yell out to them to come back. I'm a little weary of anyone but my parents, bit I warm up pretty quickly.

I'm rolling like a pro from my back to front and front to back. When I'm on my tummy, I get my legs kicking like crazy - I really want to move - I just haven't quite figured out this whole crawling thing. But I can scoot myself forward a few inches!

My goals for next month include sitting unsupported and cutting my first tooth!

Uh oh! Mom left Lucy on the far end of the blanket while she ran downstairs to grab the laundry. When she came up a minute later, she found Lucy here:

Party Dress

Last month, Stacy's brother Brian celebrated his 31st birthday. His wife Melissa planned a fun arcade-themed party!

Games included Guitar Hero, Foosball, air hockey, pinball and corn hole.

Even the cake fit the theme!

Lucy was happy to have an excuse to put on a party dress.

After a long evening of fun and games, Lucy enjoyed some quality time with Aunt Melissa and Uncle Brian.

Fall Frolic

Early in October, we brought Lucy to a local family orchard - mostly because we wanted pictures of her with pumpkins, but also so we could pick up some fresh apples to use in Eric's apple crisp.

A little unsure at first...

... but she quickly warmed up!

It was a beautiful fall day

The pumpkins weren't all that exciting...

... but the goats were!

All in all, it was a fun family outing that we can't wait to make an annual fall tradition.
