Lucy's Third Month

Lucy loves having company

Starting to explore her world

Outside, blueberry picking with Dad

The onesie says it all...

Enjoying her first campfire at Uncle Brian & Aunt Mel's (she liked it!)

"I have no idea what you're saying to me"

Loves bedtime stories...

...and watching the Red Sox with Dad

"Don't let the onesie fool you - I'm no crab!"

LOVES her red bird

First time in the Bumbo, still working on the whole holding-her-neck-up thing!

2 Months

I'm growing like a weed! At my check-up this month I weighed 11 lbs. (I was 8 lbs. 9 oz. last month) and measured 23.5 in. long (21.5 in. last month)! I had to get two shots, and while I cried when they stuck me (it's scary when you don't know what they're doing to you!), I composed myself in no time. Dad and Mom think I'm a rock star! :)

Mom and Dad love that I am regularly sleeping through the night. I usually sleep for about 7 hours, have a bite to eat and head back to bed for a few more hours.

Mom and Dad think it's funny how I like to keep my thumbs tucked under my index and middle fingers.

I love to smile and laugh at them.

Uh oh...

It seems we've gotten a little behind on our blog posts. Hope you all are ready for an overload of Lucy pictures!

Shake, Rattle & ...

...ROLL!

That's right, Lucy is now rolling! Mom was able to capture the end of her first roll, as seen above. The next day, she caught one on video, below:

In the 5 days since the video, Lucy has become quite adept at rolling. She can roll to either side and no longer gets her arm stuck beneath her. And tonight she even rolled from her stomach to her back. Looks like we're going to have to start being more careful about where we leave her!

Made With Love

We'd been looking for a lamp for Lucy's room but everything we found was ridiculously overpriced so Stacy decided to make her own. She found the lampshade at Goodwill and picked out fabric that matched our nursery theme.

It was a super simple project. She traced the lampshade to get a pattern, cut out the fabric, sprayed the lampshade with adhesive and attached the material. To finish it off, she folded and glued the fabric over the edges and voila - a custom lampshade!

We searched the local thrift stores for a lamp base but couldn't find anything that would work so we purchased this base from Target.

Overall, this project cost $14 - quite a savings over the $46 lamp on Amazon! Now we have a lamp to use when we read to Lucy and rock her to sleep.

Finding Her Voice

Lucy has really begun to test out her voice. If she's anything like her mom, we might be in trouble!

Lucy's Second Month

It's hard to believe that another month has gone by! Here are some highlights from the last month:

Just like her mom, Lucy can sleep anywhere and in any position!

She loves her glow worm!

Filling out her bouncer more and still enjoying it

LOVES her activity mat!

You want to take pictures of me?

Okay...CHEESE! :)

She still spends much of her days sleeping

A big present from Uncle Shaun's college

First time sleeping in her crib (just a nap, to help prepare Stacy for the move from the bassinet to the crib)

Money maker?

Getting bigger and bigger each day

We love when she sleeps with her hand on her tummy...so cute!

Totally enthralled with the mobile on her pack n' play

When Daddy does her hair...

Spending quality time with Daddy

Definitely too big for the bassinet now

Although a cute onesie (Up All Night!), completely untrue...she sleeps about 7 hours each night!
